Day by Day
From the misty Virungas to the Lewa conservancy and the Maasai Mara — here is how your days unfold.
Day 1
Met in Rwanda’s green capital and transferred to a stylish city hotel. Settle in, enjoy a first dinner and rest — tomorrow, gorilla country.
Day 2
A scenic drive through terraced green hills to the foot of the Virungas and Singita Kwitonda. Settle into your suite with its fireplace and volcano views, warm up in your heated plunge pool, and dine by the fire.
Day 3
The morning of a lifetime — a guided trek up through bamboo and cloud forest to spend a precious, unforgettable hour with a wild mountain gorilla family. Return to the lodge to soothe tired legs in the spa and relive it over dinner.
Day 4
A gentler day — an optional golden monkey trek, a visit to the community and conservation projects protecting the forest, or simply time by your plunge pool with the volcanoes beyond. A second gorilla trek can be arranged for the truly smitten.
Day 5
A drive back to Kigali and connecting flights via Nairobi to the Lewa conservancy. Settle into warm, welcoming Sirikoi, then an evening game drive in search of rhino as the plains turn golden.
Day 6
A full day on Lewa — track black and white rhino and plains game, walk the bush with expert guides, and go behind the scenes of the anti-poaching and conservation work that made Lewa a global success story.
Day 7
Explore at your own pace — ride out on horseback or camel, enjoy another drive, or relax by the waterhole with Sirikoi’s wonderful home-grown food. A bush dinner under the stars closes your time on the conservancy.
Day 8
A scenic flight south-west to the Maasai Mara and stylish Ishara, overlooking the Mara River. Settle into your tented suite with its plunge pool, then an evening game drive into big-cat country.
Days 9 – 10
Two full days in the Mara — twice-daily game drives for lion, leopard and cheetah (and river crossings in season), an optional dawn balloon safari with champagne breakfast, a Maasai village visit, and a private candlelit dinner under the stars.
Day 11
A final sunrise drive, then a flight back to Nairobi to connect with your onward international flight — gorillas, rhino and lion all in a single honeymoon, and a marriage begun in wonder.
