The Journey

After an easy arrival night in Nairobi, you fly to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the shadow of Mount Kenya, home to the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and a sanctuary of rescued chimpanzees. Here you track lion on foot, drive by night, and come face to face with rhino conservation.
Then it is on to the Maasai Mara for three nights of big cats at Sanctuary Olonana on the Mara River, before a direct flight to the coast. Five slow days at Alfajiri in Diani close the journey — your own villa, your own pool, a private chef and the Indian Ocean at your feet. Every transfer is by air; every detail is arranged in advance.

Day by Day

Day 1
Met at Jomo Kenyatta International and transferred to a tranquil garden hotel. Settle in, enjoy a quiet first dinner, and sleep off the journey — your Kenyan honeymoon begins.
Day 2
A short flight brings you to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, below Mount Kenya, by late morning. Settle into your fever-tree camp, then head out on your first game drive through Big Five country as the afternoon light softens.
Day 3
A deeply moving morning meeting Najin and Fatu, the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, followed by a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. An afternoon drive among black rhino and elephant closes the day.
Day 4
Join conservancy researchers to radio-track lion on foot — a rare, hands-on conservation experience. After dark, a night game drive reveals Ol Pejeta’s elusive nocturnal wildlife, before a final dinner under Mount Kenya.
Day 5
This morning you fly southwest to the Maasai Mara, landing by early afternoon at Olonana on the Mara River. After lunch, your first Mara game drive, ending with sundowners in the bush and hippos grunting below your suite.
Day 6
A full day in the Mara — track big cats on a morning drive, then a warm, genuine visit to a local Maasai village and school. An afternoon drive and a riverside dinner close a classic Mara day.
Day 7
Rise early for an optional hot air balloon safari and champagne breakfast over the plains, or a gentle guided bush walk with your Maasai guide. A final Mara evening, perhaps with a private dinner under the stars.
Day 8
After a last sunrise drive, you fly directly from the Mara to the coast — savanna giving way to turquoise sea. Arrive at Alfajiri by afternoon, where your villa, pool and butler await. A welcome massage and a dinner by your chef as the sun sets over the ocean.
Days 9 – 11
Three days to do exactly as little, or as much, as you please. Sail out to snorkel the coral reef, enjoy your daily in-villa massages, play a round of golf, visit the Marine Education Centre, or simply let your chef and butler spoil you poolside. Every sunset ends in a private sundowner.
Day 12
A final full day on the coast — a late breakfast, a long swim, a lazy lunch and a last snorkel or spa treatment. As evening falls, a farewell sundowner and a special private dinner on the beach to mark the close of your honeymoon.
Day 13
A relaxed final morning by the sea before your flight from Diani back to Nairobi, timed to connect with your international departure — sand on your feet, rhinos and big cats in your memory.
